Since I just recently organized a panel at the Ann Arbor District Library featuring Tobias S. Suffice it to say that both The Ghost Brigades (A Sci Fi Essential Book) and The Last Colony are excellent books, and necessary to understanding Zoe's Tale . Zoe's Tale by John Scalzi My rating: 5 of 5 stars. From what I understand, Zoe's Tale is a retelling of The Last Colony, the third book in his Old Man's War trilogy*.
